Chef Mark Hall was born in West Point, New York, with Marks father serving in the U.S. Air Force he spent much of his childhood traveling through out the United States. Upon his father retiring the family moved to upstate New York where Mr. Hall graduated high school. He then moved to Texas in 1982 and began working at a resort as a breakfast cook. Since then he has worked in some of the finest clubs, restaurants and catering operations in the nation. Currently he is Executive Chef for Aramark Corporation, at the Emerald Coast Conference Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Mark moved there in April of 2003 to fulfill a desire to live and work in the Destin, Fort Walton Beach area.

Prior to his current position he taught recreational cooking classes in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he developed his teaching skills. Before the cooking school he worked for the Arrowhead Yacht Club on Grand Lake in Oklahoma and developed many systems and programs that they still use today.

In addition he worked for Catering by Rosemary in Austin, Texas where he participated in banquets for Lady Bird Johnson, Barbara Jordan, Jimmy Carter, YoYo Ma, Van Clyburn, and many other dignitaries from Texas and around the world. While in Texas Mark worked in two of the finest country clubs in the southwest one was Hidden Hills on Lake Travis now called Barton Creek Lakeside. The other was Horseshoe Bay Resort and Conference Center with three Robert Trent Jones golf courses it is one of the finest Resorts in the United States. Mr. Hall has been a member of the American Culinary Federation for 10 years. He was involved in selecting educational programs for member chefs and served as Treasurer for the Austin, Texas chapter.

In 1996 he was elected Professional of the Year. While a member Mark has volunteered his skills to work with the March of Dimes, United Way, Society to Prevent Blindness, Salvation Army, Emerald Coast Foundation and many other charitable organizations. In the spring of 2003 Mark achieved a long-term goal by becoming a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation. Mark looks forward to his future career in food service industry by maintaining exceptional quality, excellent service and promoting a fun and safe workplace.
