Welcome to the Emerald Coast. Located on the Gulf of Mexico in Northwest Florida, our beautiful area offers a mix of southern charm and tropical beauty that is unlike any other part of Florida.
We offer a variety of scenery that can double for many looks; country roads, white sand beaches, fishing village, farmland, wooded areas and bays and bayous dotted with boats, just to name a few. A number of productions have taken place here; among them, Paramount's "The Truman Show" and "Jaws II". Recent television, commercial and print shoots include Cartoon Network, Chaparral Boats, Turner South, Dillard's, Outdoor Life Network and more.

The Emerald Coast TDC Film Commission will gladly assist you with permit information. Contact our office if you are producing a film, commercial, television series, video or photography shoot that affects city and/or county property, equipment or facilities, including public property such as beaches or sidewalks. You may download the Emerald Coast Film Commission's Film Registration forms and return the completed forms to our office prior to the start of your production, or visit our office during business hours.
