Niceville Library Cookie Swap - The library will be hosting a Cookie Swap on Thursday, December 10 from 10:30 - 11:30am. You can pick up an information sheet at the library. Each person registered will be required to bring 5 dozen cookies. The number may be changed depending on the number of people registered. Coffee and tea will be provided. Registration is required. Interactive Game Experience Exhibit
The Florida Army National Guard Interactive Game Experience Exhibit, featuring the latest electronic games, is coming to the Northwest Florida State College Niceville Campus on Friday, November 20 from 10am - 6pm. The Interactive Game Experience features more than 30 of today's most popular electronic games (for the Ninetendo Wii, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Eighteen game consoles will be set up in the parking lot outside of the Raiders basketball gym.

The Destin Library will host Thanksgiving crafts for children at the library on 150 Sibert Avenue. Children ages 10 years and younger are invited to stop by and create a holiday craft (door hanger or pumpkin wreath). On November 23, 2:30 - 4:30pm ; on November 24 5:30 - 7:30pm. Pirate Exhibit

The Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park and Cultural Center, along with the Friends of the Museums, presents an original exhibit titled "Pirates: The Last Scourge of the Gulf" opening May 29, 10am - 4:30pm. The exhibit is scheduled to be on display all summer inside the Indian Temple Mound Museum Lazarus Education Center. The exhibit examines the real pirates who swept across the Gulf of Mexico in the early 19th Century and wreaked havoc on American shipping along the Gulf Coast from Texas to Florida. Coast is $5 plus tax for adults; $4.50 plus tax for seniors 55 and older and military personnel; and $3 plus tax for children 3 - 17.

Patriotic Impressions at the Heritage Museum

The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida is pleased to announce "Patriotic Impressions", a new exhibit by Local Color Artists Group on view through August 28, Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 4pm. This patriotic salute features original works of art in a variety of media created by ten local artists including collage, porcelain, acrylic, watercolor, oils and wood. The exhibit is one of a series of presentations by the Heritage Museum honoring Eglin Air Force Base's 75th Anniversary and local military heritage. All work is available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Museum. Admission is $2. Free for HMNF members and children under 4.

Stand Up and Paddle (SUP) Jam at Fish Lipz
The SUP JAM is a stand up paddle board event series open to the public. Through September, paddlers will race for prizes and bragging rights. Demonstration boards will be on hand for those who want to learn more about the sport.
