Destin Shines - Silver Jubilee 2009
Destin celebrates its 25th Anniversary November 5 by celebrating its beaches at June White Decker Beach Park. 3-3:30pm local pastors will perform a blessing of the beach; 3-5pm beach cookout; 4pm Tai Chi on the beach; 5:30pm bring your kids and watch a family movie. 850.837.4242

UWF Writers in the Gallery Series
On November 5 author Joseph Skibell will kick off The University of West Florida's Writers in the Gallery Series at the Fort Walton Beach Campus, 922 Mar Walt Drive, Ste 203, Building 82. Event begins with a reception at 7pm, followed by the reading at 7:30pm. 850.857.6109

"Power of Creativity"
The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida and Northwest Florida State College will host Vision Bear, a Native American artist, visionary and healer at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries at the Northwest Florida State College campus in Niceville. Vision Bear will discuss the power of creativity, breaking through barriers and creativity in the new era. Presentation is free and open to the public. 850.678.2615

"No Greater Love" Concert
3 O'Clock Station, Ascension Day, James Ross, Jonathan Ochs, and Jeremy Gibson will perform in concert at Rocky Bayou Baptist Church in Niceville November 6 at 6:30pm. Proceeds will benefit the Jerry Baker family in his fight against cancer. A silent auction will be held. $2 donation. 850.678.6062
