Valentine's Day Film Festival

Area filmmakers are invited to participate in a "Valentine's Day Film Festival" competition sponsored by the Production Services Association of Northwest Florida. Filmmakers of all ages and skill level are encouraged to produce a short film based on the title "______", A Love Story!" where the filmmaker fills in the blank with a topic of their choice. The application deadline is January 22 and the final film submission is February 5. Movies that meet requirements will be screened online for Internet voting from February 8-13. A public screening and voting will take place on Valentine's Day, February 14, at the Cinema Plus movie theater in Fort Walton Beach. There is no entry fee. Maritime History of the Gulf Coast

Second Annual Mardi Gras on the Harbor
Join HarborWalk Village on Saturday, February 13 at 2pm for the Second Annual Mardi Gras Parade. The festive parade, led by The Dent Bros and New Orleans Ramblers, will make its way down the Destin harbor and through the crowds at the party-filled village. Destin Chamber of Commerce - Multi-Chamber Business Expo & Taste of Okaloosa
On Wednesday, Feb. 24, the Destin Area, Greater Fort Walton Beach, and Niceville Valparaiso Chambers of Commerce are partnering to bring their members the biggest marketing and networking opportunity around – the Multi-Chamber Business Expo & Taste of Okaloosa County! More than 600 attended last year's event. The expo, which will be open to the public to attend at no charge, is set to take place at the Emerald Coast Conference Center from 4 – 7 p.m. Event sponsors include Bit-Wizards Custom Software Solutions, the Northwest Florida Daily News, and Simple HR. Approximately 40 booths per chamber will be sold. Only two sponsor booths per chamber are available. Old Fashion Destin Fish Fry Fundraiser

Aces and Eights Poker
The Destin Fire & Rescue Foundation is hosting the Inaugural Aces and Eights Poker Tournament, February 27 at 5pm, at Destin Jet.
